How long can I hold on to a June e-mini contract?

need to be out by next friday. Should be out by thursday to be sure, Settles in cash so i wouldn;'t worry about delivery

 

I once held an oil futures contract too long and got a delivery of 100bls of Brent Crude to my apartment.

6/16 is the last trade date. If you own the contract after the close on 6/16, you will be delivered against. You can roll it beforehand though. The CME has a calendar spread market that trades in 1/5 ticks and is extremely liquid.

 

You would just be delivered the cash though on the equity index futures
