I made bad mistake in trading the vol. All straddles I sold showed profit yesterday due to the vol dropped. Instead of taking profit as plan, I was greedy and tried to pull out the profit from the theta decay too. Today, all commodities, X, VLO, SU, BTU went up big times. All of them turn into loosing positions. They are not much money but quite bad for me emotionally. Since they have all gone up, I'll play by probability now and stay with them until Friday or at brake even.

I also reviewed my mistake with SPX. My plan was to trade them using probability. In that case, I should let everything play out. However, I closed the spread earlier when SPX was around 1225. Had I hold on to them, my 1240 and my 1245 shorts would not produce much lost. All in all, it's a bad week for me. I don't blame anything but myself for not to following the trade plan.

    Another lesson learned.

BTC KLAC Jul 40 straddle due to drop in vol $4.40. Profit $26.

I'll wait for IB to clear up so I can calculate all P&L in SPX later.

BTC SU 70 call for $2.5. If SU 70 put expire worthless, the profit on this straddle should be $107

BTC BTU 47.5 call loss of $292. If BTU 47.5 expire worthless, the loss should be $98 total on BTU.

    BTC X strangle 55/60 for $3. Loss of $125.

    BTC VLO 55/57.5 strangle $2.25 los of $225-$155 = $70

    Total loss today $160.

All of these were profitable on Thu morning :-(
