Finished the book this weekend. All I can say is wow. Remarkable road to insane success and fantastic inspirational story.
It shows you what brains and insane amount of hard work along with being innovative can do. Same goes to Musk, Jobs, Edison and many other great success stories. But my interest lies in algo trading, that is why it it closer to me.
Hard work? Many want to trade because of perceived easy lifestyle and "easy money". Kidding aside, now I spend more time working (trading) than when I had a day job.
I'm only part of the way through the book, so I can't really have a full opinion on it but... So far, it seems like Jim just kind of made sure things were running and got out of the way.
I loved the book, especially because I'm hot on Jim Simons' trail and planning to beat him. Just need to fine-tune my latest penny stock algo because it was losing by accident.
