How is retail day trading anything but a gamble?

Stock Trading is a business activity. Gain knowledge about it before trading. Learn about money management. If money management is missing, you are skating on thin ice, and that is dangerous. So is gambling. Unfortunately, in our society, Risk and Gamble have become synonymous. People talk about the Stock Markets being risky or akin to gambling in the same vein.

Looking at it from a general 95% lose and 5% make money, you would be right in saying trading is a gamble to be a success and be correct. The difference between speculation and gambling is why retail day trading is not a gamble - in my opinion. Speculation is taking a risk with an expected advantage. An advantage is anything over 50/50. Gambling is taking a risk with odds not in your favor. Retail day traders are attempting to devise a system the ends up being a speculation not a gamble. Discipline is another factor which can separate the gambling part out...

This guy's like a blowfly, an ET pest!
For those interested, Chipshoptrainee's introduction to ET was in June 2018 when he decided to blow in and hijack a thread started by Maverick1.
All this pest wanted to do for the next 23 pages was use the ET forum platform to criticize Tim Morge an apparent trading educator.
So he leached off Mav's thread to whine like a blowfly.
Since then, this leach has never once made a constructive contribution to ET, all this pest wants to do is use ET to bitch, complain, then show everybody his fuckin wine bottles.
    NOW FUCK OFF!
PS: I've had this leach on block since 2018, that's what's annoying this little bitch.
Now he's once again hijacking and derailing yet another thread for his own selfish whiney reasons.

@themickey I have made plenty of constructive contributions on ET (I concluded the thread you are mentioning in early September 2018! Fully exposing a charlatan, and helping out people from being duped). I guess, since you have me on block, you are unable to see them; all constructive, and simply trying to help.

Just ask @Tradex @ironchef @Real Money and countless others.

You simply can't take it. You are a toxic loser. Jesus, you ARE a true pest...

    8300 VIEWS, and counting :)

Oh, you coward. Who is the bitch now (using your eloquent vocabulary)???

In addition to risk management and tight stops, trading specific patterns, like gap continuations, can potentially help improve trading odds.

It's important to use re-entries, scaling, trailing stops etc.... goal is to profit from entering great setups and keeping tight af stops when you're wrong.

Absolutely, and you made this point perfectly clear in the last issue of Stocks and Commodities Magazine: enter the market with a small position and add only if the market is moving the right way.
