How is Interactive Brokers Cheaper?

  1. Excellent response. Says more than all the CRAP that was posted on this thread (i.e. why would you not use unbundled, sheesh).

You know Travelwander, for someone who claims to know it all, don't ever forget that there are traders on this forum that know more than you as mustardketchup has demonstrated. You remind me of the dweebs in high school that hang in a group of people and stands in the back row, letting the people who know their stuff talk while you sit there shaking your head in agreement and occassionally muttering a "uh huh, yes yes yes" to sound part of if all.

Having traded for more than 25 years myself, many of us have different styles of trading that work very well and have stood the test of time. Why in the world would I spend one ounce of time battled worn knowledge answering any of your questions you post here for the way you choose to handle yourself?

Coming off as a smart ass as you do and I fully knowing that you are nowhere near an experienced trader with years of experience (I've read your post history), will someday be a humbling experience when you need to ask a question that noone will answer because of the way you handle yourself. If you want comraderie and acknowledgement on here, you won't get it the way you do.

Face it, you dont know it all and i strongly recommend that you step back and ask yourself why you are on here. Be humble.

If there is a lesson to be learned here, read the above paragraphs again and seriously quit trying to speak for other people or make huge wrong assumptions by reading way too much into it than what it is.

YOU ARENT TRADING AGAINST ANYONE ON THIS WEBSITE. YOU ARE PARTICIPATING IN WRITTEN DIALOGUE OF YOUR THOUGHTS.

I can only suggest that I've seen too many of your kind over the years that end up in trader wasteland.

And if you didnt take the time to read my earlier posts, I opened an account with IB RECENTLY. Just how in the hell does that show a grudge? And how does my original post show a grudge? Amazing, fucking amazing.

  2. I've never claimed to know it all. I only pointed out the absolutely obvious.

Pull your bunched-up panties out of your ass and continue your search for a good paper trading system.

Good luck on finding and maybe even becoming "one of the boys".

    Change alias and try again.

    :p

  3. And you think the "why not unbundle" question was uncalled for? 25 years of experience? A new alias to ask this question? ROFLMAO!!!!!!

Goodbye until you reappear with a new alias.

and btw, I could give two fuks on what your "assessment" of me is, LOL.

  4. If you mean their SMART routing... well... it's not that smart :)
SMART means IMHO: you give IB the permission to take the route IB likes for your order, something you probably didn't wanted/intended and probably should not do b/c many times you pay very high commissions when IB chooses the most expensive route for you... :) Especially with options.

Their historic data is unrealiable, sometimes even completely not available.
Ok, now some freaks from IB will say there is a bandwidth limit etc.
Even if you don't violate their own set limits the historic data server isn't that reliable.
Say yesterday the whole day it worked fine, you have changed nothing in your program, and today suddenly it's no more delivering data...
I unfortunately made these negative experiences.

YOU ARE NOT EVEN USING A PAPER TRADER YOU ARE USING A DEMO WITH RECYCLED BACK DATA --- YOU HAVE NO CLUE WHAT YOU ARE TALKING ABOUT.

YOU HAVE NOT EVEN OPENED AN ACCOUNT !

  7. Which proves that even def can get frustrated by a complete idiot. Relax def, its just the Xmas spirit ( I parked in 2 different shopping centres yesterday --- and boy did I see the Xmas spirit coming through :))

    Traderum,

What he's trying to say to you without saying it is "you get the fuckwit of the year award."

I just thought that in the spirit of giving I should translate it for you.

Merry Xmas to all the excellent and helpful people at IB. You are appreciated by the best of ET's denizens.

And a Happy New Year to all. May the you get what you want from trading (in Ed S's meaning of the wish). And may you enrich me. Cheers!
