You must truly understand the current state of the market you are trading at any given time to determine if your winners merit holds or nibble exits. There is not a one size fits all solution.
But we cannot be in front of the charts all the time to access the market situation so take profit is a must thing for me at least. Every time is not the same but still we need this tool.
