Travelling is as expensive as you want it to be. I spent 3 months travelling in South East Asia a few years ago and the whole trip cost me $5k Canadian including flights. I did not stay in hostels either. The longer you travel the cheaper it can be done.

I don't understand the hate for these Youtubers. She is a young women living life according to her own rules. Are you calling her stupid because she is not living according to your idea of what a "responsible" person "should" do with their life?

I have an friend who is a youtuber with 50k + subs. He went to one of the best business schools in Canada and speaks multiple languages. He did the corporate life and it was not for him. Now his business is based around youtube. Is he stupid for being a successful youtuber?

Someone had said this, but I was not me - hence that is why it was in italics. The original poster deleted it.
I am willing to bet my life and the lives of my entire family that not a single individual in the Middle East or Asia would publish such a garbage littered with so much stupidity.

  5. I've lived in 3 countries for a significant amount of time and I can attest that in the US, there are either very smart people or very dumb people. By dumb I'm talking about dumb as dirt and ignorant, offering almost no value. I know this because of the industry I worked in (I'd rather not say).

USA is still the greatest country in the world in terms of its potential.

Almost any modern technology I can think of has been invented here. We have the vast geography, natural resources, and large population to do anything. Will that potential be realized? Who knows...

Yea - spent plenty of time in other countries and saw first hand why we are called 'the ugly American tourist'. I retract my former comment that people are the same everywhere.

One is pure stupidity and worthless content, the other is simply tasteless showoff. Big difference.

Absolutely agree and also agree on the "biggest potential", given the low intellectual base a majority in the country are operating on. Every country has stupid people among intelligent people, the huge difference is that in most other countries stupid people shut their mouth about their stupidity whereas in the US stupid people have no qualm to display their blatant stupidity. Call it REALLY stupid or gutsy. I find it hard to believe to see a Trump like individual ever raising to power in Europe or Asia. Berlusconi was an absolute outlier and exception.

Well, I can't and won't blame individuals for it. Some individuals in leadership positions really know how to bring the worst out in many people and I think that is exactly what is going on in the US. 20 years ago people went on about their lives, today everyone behaves and thinks he or she is a political analyst and as if everyone around them should feel privileged to be informed about their political stance via YouTube content, verbal communication, demonstrations, blogs or Facebook posts. Nobody cares actually, yet a narcissist as leader did a great job instilling in everyone the sense of self importance.

The hate is because they live parasitically and basically give other people the wrong idea of how to "get ahead." Sure, one could say traders are the same bunch, but I don't think the expended risk is the same.

I'd say it's pretty universal here that most despise the false trading educator types for very similar reasons - so why should types like these get a free pass?

Also, these types are a dime a dozen and will be panic selling just like the rest of them when this market finally turns (if the governments involved ever let it actually happen).
