i have continued to work on this matter of the most profitable options to speculate on and i have arrived at some very relevant conclusions i want to share with everyone who is interested in a similar trading methodology.

    - the most lucrative stocks to day trade are definitely not the same stocks that are most lucrative to buy options on.

for anyone who wants to speculate day trading stocks, the most profitable symbols are those with the cheapest prices that have the biggest daily moves. this is because the more shares one can afford and the bigger moves any symbol makes, the bigger the profits for a disciplined speculator. the following are the results of screening this past week for stocks above 5 usd with the biggest daily moves over several weeks.

these stocks would generate splendid returns if one speculates on them and takes the correct entries and exits at the appropriate moments.

however, most of the symbols on the list above don't even have options available for them and with options being normalized to 100 share lots and the way profits - losses are calculated they would very rarely be among the most profitable to speculate on and only for a brief period of time.

similarly, there are some etf's like uvxy which move 8% a day in average but nonetheless it is very hard to consistently make any money off of speculating on them. do your own research and you will corroborate this.
