How does secret Swiss Bank Accounts work?

Discussion in 'Taxes and Accounting' started by dealmaker, Feb 14, 2015.

  1. Swiss bankaccounts are so secret that then thousands of accountholders have been published and are known now worldwide.
If you have a legal ordinary account it is more secret these days than secret accounts.
The proof is that my ordinary bank account is still not published. :D

  2. True secret swiss accounts do not have any name attached to them. They are only a number, if you have the number you can access the account. No names needed therefore the name can not be published. surf

So I ring them up, quote a number and keep repeating till they say 2mil in the account then ask for it to be transfered, no name, no proof it's not mine.

Glad I've got the unlimited minutes abroad plan :)

    * yes there will be a code aswell, sadly!!

    Google Hervé Falciani and HSBC.

A list with more than 1 hundred thousand names was published a short time ago.

"The largest and most damaging Swiss bank heist in history doesn't involve stolen money but stolen computer files with more than 100,000 names tied to Swiss bank accounts at HSBC, the second largest commercial bank in the world."

  5. Yeah, that's a different kind of account. The true secret accounts don't have names attached. They might not even exist any longer, I am not sure, My info is from the 1980's when I was interested in such things---

  7. No, these are the secret accounts.
You cannot open any kind of account without giving your full identity and even an explanation for the money you put there. This information is accessible only by a few people in the bank. But this information exists! So if you can access this list you have all the names and all the accounts. That's what happened. Falciani had access to all this information, and used it when he lost his job.

You can even search the database. Just try it. You will be shocked how much information is available from offshore and secret accounts.

Prior to rise of the Colombian drug cartel you could have opened an account with no identity attached to it....

  10. Well, over 100 000 people now know that we live in another period. It will be an expensive lesson for them. Secret is not secret anymore.
