How does order execution really work? Are market makers "manipulating" prices for Retail Traders?

Discussion in 'Order Execution' started by TraderInTheMarket, Feb 26, 2021.

  1. Market makers should not be blamed for all the failures. After all, it is they who provide Forex with liquidity so that you can buy or sell currency at an affordable price at any time. In the case of regular trading, it doesn't matter to the market maker whether you win or lose. Problems can arise in the case of high-frequency algorithmic trading or during news releases. But, if you do not use strategies that are risky for a market maker, then the problems of large players will not affect you in any way.
