Does anyone know how to gain access to the Japanese market. I think someone told me that you have to be a resident of Japan. Is that true? If so, what is the process? Anyone know someone trading in Japan that I can speak with. I would move to Japan if I had to. Thanks.

You can trade individual stocks thru IB. I don't think they're "day-tradable" considering the erratic movements, spreads and commish, though. I tried last year and couldn't make it work for me. Just seemed like too much randomness and arbitraging.
