All my scalping systems built around sensible conditions, like sweeping up profits on the floor, much of the day no trades occur but back testing shows I would lose in these conditions. But options and long term futures putting out many signals, lots of add on positions to boot.
%% MY favorite= smooth stair stepping up or down tight trends; FEB + MAR wild trends = OK. Actually i dont mind it so much, when on the right side of it\LOL. The worst thing about it/\ is when it swings back to good + positive profit area+ some get the mis-taken idea,[ ok just forget the plan + hold.] My worst QQQ/SSO.... months are like2022 JAN, when its usually uptrending\ but not this JAN. For stocks i am figuring FEB, MAR \SEPT maybe most likely down, as they tend that way.. QQQ\SPY down this week again / but some uptrends maybe found.
%% THAT '' forget the plan +hold'' seldom happens to me because I see enough smooth trends or profit trends. And a good uptrend plan may include lots of holdin', so live the[written ] plan. SPY down again on many charts\ but FB seems to be winning down bound race\LOL again......................NOT a prediction
To be honest, I like how the market is continuously toing and froing these days as it’s opening up countless opportunities. Also, without volatility it’s not possible for traders to earn profits. However, I’ve slightly changed my strategy and am not trading very frequently, instead I’m focusing on a few but good opportunities.
%% THAT + SPXu, spxl, upro, SDS....................................WILD Fed day IF i had known it was going to do that i would not taken profits on sds but do SPXS. Cant really predict \/ but that's life ...........................................................
Not well till this week when I reread my rules of trading and been much more careful of my entries. My problem really is in the charts I trade it was so hard to see a small movement, let's say half the size of my finger before is 2 points, and now on same chart it's like 20 points. But I am sure most of the liars here are all doing great in their sim accounts.
Can't speak for Mr. Mcnoob but I'm definitely trading real money, and in small enough size not to hurt me financially if I screw up but just big enough to feel the greed and fear. Sorry you are having trouble following your system. I had the same problem after developing a few of my own. And I don't always have up days!
