how do you know if your porn site is safe?

  1. I just read an article in a local paper about a guy who brought his comouter in for service. While doing the service the techies came across images that appeared that they could be underage. They contacted the authorities which in turn arrested they guy for breaking child porn laws. As it turned out a girl in a video he downloaded was 16. Though it was an adult site and he was viewing what he believed was "barely legal" girls he was still arrested. WTF!!!

How is one supposed to know the age of these women, especially if they look 18-21?

  2. Good question.
I never cease to be amazed by the weird shit out there, and I like porn, etc.

    But theres a limit.
Ive googled "reporting suspect sites,", and many variations, and got nothing-a confusing mishmash of various crap, really.

You could always enquire to your freindly local law enforcement, but if your not told
"why are you looking at porn? You should know better, than to surf porn, rather than be happily married with kids, your a pervert-we should arrest you right now, because your a deviant and potential criminal, and that's if we can't prove anything, we'll be watching you".

By all means, prove me wrong, please.
    Seriously.
These people are trained psychopaths, seriously here-you have a civic duty to politely enquire as to what you should do, should you click on some shit thats , just totally wrong.
You wont like what happens, and obvious flaws in these robots programming will become immediately apperent.
Not that it will help you, because , by that stage, your f#ked, really.

  3. the moral of the story: dont bring in your computer for service if you use it to surf for porn.

  4. The reason I started this thread is I have to send my laptop in. I didnt think anything of it until I read that atricle. It made me think. I surf porn, could this happen to me? The only pornsite I goto is thehun. I never even considered those girls were underage, but thinking about it, I guess some can be under 18.

Does that mean if you view any type of porn on the net, you havew to forego warranties?

  5. oh yeah and what if someone got stolen copyrighted material on his computer. like illegal mp3's, movies, ebooks etc. i mean they could sue him for that too. he might not be arrested but he could be facing criminal charges.

ps i wouldn't give my hard drive to the lab even though it's all legit. i got personal stuff there. what if someone just copies my stuff. just take the HD out before you give your machine to service.

  6. Keep your nasty shit on a stick, not in CPU memory.

  7. gunslinger, sounds like you takes your chances about taking in your pc. Doesn't matter if it's legal, some righteous prude doing their civic duty may see something that's not there and report it. I think they even have to report anything questionable by law. If they don't report it, they have violated the law. Just the process of a simple questioning from the authorities would be too much to go through.

You don't even have to surf for porn to have the cops show up at your door.

A local TV station recently did a segment on wireless internet security or insecurity. The report said 200,000 people are hacked daily on wireless. Pedos and other cyber criminals are hacking into unsuspecting wireless users. Then they hide their illegal data on the victim's pc instead of their own pc.

Eventually the authorities trace activity to the innocent victim's pc and show up at their door. The reporters did not mention what happens to these innocent people, like so what if it happens to you.

Sounds like the biggest problem is with wireless, although other internet delivery methods sound nearly as vulnerable, if you don't thoroughly scan for infestations. But what if you're hacked and the illegal files are hidden from detection? What if scans are not enough? I have found little in-depth info on pc security, like it's a secret to keep people in the dark.

We only had the choice between nothing and dial-up out here until recently with the choice of wireless. No thanks to wireless after seeing that report.

20/20 did a show about one month ago about a 14 year old CHILD who was found to have a couple of illegal pics on the family pc most likely from a pedo hiding files. The legal process put that kid through 2 years of hell. I think all the charges were dropped except for some small 'crime'. I think he has to register as a sex offender. I wonder how that experience will alter his life forever.

Who is protecting us from illegal crap? Or would that take some actual effort? It's more funner and easier to abuse the innocent. Maybe it's a way of scaring people off the net entirely, since the net represents too much free speech and freedom.

  8. I have one of the largest collections of porn on the west coast. Underage garbage ai'nt something I even worry about. Generally speaking if you stick with chicks sporting a monster hair pie it's a safe bet they ain't jail bait. Only baldies, landing strips, and Hitler mustaches will get you in trouble.

    Uncle Rennick out:cool:

  9. I see you live in CaliPornia, so you need not worry.

Interesting combo, Rennick, Largest porn collection, ex Pastor, retired US Navy, trading and golf.
