How do you explain the economy to your kids?
You don't have any.
Wouldn't it be self explanatory soon?
You need to explain 2 things:
1) In capitalist economies there are good times as well as bad
2) In the good times, IGNORE what everyone else is doing and save as much as you can
Kid: "Dad can I have $20?"
Dad: "$10 dollars?????? What do you need $5 for?"
1. Children, don't ever vote for a Democrat or a Republican because this is what you get.
2. Don't listen to anything anyone says if they work in a whorehouse.
Did anyone else catch that in the poster its a white family and the ones in the soup line are all black?
I would tell them the truth instead of filling them with partisan political bullshit.
leverage. Our economy took on too much debt.
If they were a bit older I would make them do a simple math problem.
Growth in GDP 4%(+/-) and the growth in debt 7% (+/-) since the early 1980's.
(1*1.04)^29 less (1*1.07)^29 leaves a growing "debt load" that at some point is impossible to service.
Behold, a job creator!
â The most racist group in America is older black men.
