How do I view historical Futures Pricing on Multiple charts?

    Evening Futures Traders.

I have traded the Forex market and am diving into Futures soon.

One issue I have is that in Forex I always had three different time frame charts open so I could get a longer term view.

This does not seem to be possible with the Futures. The contract you are viewing only goes back so far (IE: Dec16 TF Russell Mini 2000 goes back to June). So if you pull up some hourly or 4hr charts to get major resistance it does not go back far at all or give you very long term S&R.

For those who trade futures, what method do you use to determine your long term S&R levels?

    Thanks,

    Mike

  3. most charting packages give continuous contracts which have a slight lead or lag

Thank you Just21 and Dilbert003. I do seem to have historical data with CQG but it just seems like there is much less data / month back in 2015 then for this year. Like the amount of data available for the month decreases the further back you go. Not used to this as Forex this was not the case. As long as the major S&R levels are good then I guess I will be ok.

    Thanks again!
