I tried to open a file, but it all the contents have been deleted. I dont know how that happened, is there any way to recover it? Thanks.
Have you tried using XP System Restore and going back a few weeks to before the file was changed? If you have system restore monitoring changes in the directory the file was saved in, that will work. Was it ever saved as any other file name? There is a program I used to use a lot called AutoRecovery32. I dont have the web site address but it has a picture of a bald eagle when you load it up. It would undelete ANYTHING , even if it wasn't in the recycle bin. You need to use it as soon as you can because when you write new files to your hard disk, the files that are flagged as deleted are over written. Sometimes you may get lucky.
