How do I find stocks gapping premarket?

for morning % gap,nost active etc. try ISLAND TOP LIST (100 stocks).You can using it from 8 am untill post mkt close.

look at island or instinets website under most active section and youll see all the stocks that are going to open up or down drastically.

If you are not looking at the screen from the time the (pre) market opens on a stock, how do you know what the first indication is/was?

and hey, there's always the cnbc ticker premarket, brought ones like VRTX / SNPS / NVDA to our attention last week before the bell.. the nasdaq.com heatmaps agree, also excellent ..

these are limited to ISLD stocks, however, it makes the other ECN's wish they posted their most actives

Go to the Favorites->Market Minder menu and select #4: Tal Chain Symbol List. For the Nasdaq, you can either drag $GAPUP-Q or $GAPDN-Q to a Market Minder window.
