i'm sure i have, but i fail to see your point. If what you are alluding to is that these costs can be passed through to us, the consumer, and/or that other nations will also raise tariffs on our exports, that is still a net win for us. The US is the largest consumer in the world, and we are a net importer. Many of these companies, our own and others, who export to us need our business, and will have to take the hit themselves. if not, and they try to raise prices to keep their margins in line, they open themselves up to competition, domestically. this is checkers not chess.
This tax issue really brings out the nonsense, which is one sure way of knowing it is a bogus issue. Take the absurd idea that Romney somehow is suspect because he is rich and can't identify with the "common man", whoever that is. Leaving aside the fairly obvious observation that Romney is a lot more down to earth than the pretentious "Living Uptown" Obamas, with their circle of Hollywood pals and billionaire checkwriters, you have to shake your head at the media hypocrisy. Having the common touch, being a regular guy, feeling the pain of wageearners, that is crucial apparently. Except the media has a curious habit of only applying it to rich republicans. By contrast, when presented a rich democrat candidate, they tend to swoon over his sophistication. Take their all time favorite, JFK. Did he or his kid brothers ever work a day in their lives? Mike Dukakis, regular guy right? Uhh. not really, stiff, pompous and elitist would be more accurate. And who can forget Prince Albert Gore? Raised at the Fairfax Hotel , father a Senator, went to exclusive St, Albans private school in Washington, then Harvard, where he claimed to be the role model for Love Story. Gore was a regular Larry the Cable Guy compared to John Kerry, a slimy gigolo who married two women for money anhd was fond of lapsing into French in front of reporters. You never read one word in the mainstream media criticizing any of them for lacking empathy or the common touch. Kerry refused to release his moneybags wife Teresa's tax returns, and the media changed the subject. With these people, it's never enough. If Romney released 10 years fo returns, they would want 20. They know there's nothing there. They just want to demagogue the fact that he is rich. I say tell them to f--- off. You don't feed trolls.

The media have steadfastly refused to probe anything about Obama's colorful past. How in the world did sealed divorce records get leaked to destroy two of Obama's Senate opponents, basically handing an unqualified local pol a Senate seat? Not the least bit interesting to the national media. They were too busy staking out Sarah Palin's house in alaska. Ancient history, right? Well how about the scandals since he's been in office. Solyndra is the tip of the crony capitalism iceberg. Enormous government loan guarantees going to political supporters who promptlydefault, costing taxpayers billions. Sounds like a Pulitzer Prize on a plate for some journalist. Nope, it's a nonstory according to the mainstream media. Surely someone would be interested in a comically inept plot to send guns to mexican drug cartels with no tracing or even notification to the mexican government? Even if it ended up getting a Border Patrol agent killed? and then was covered up by flimsy lies and transparent legal ploys by the AG? Nope. He may have paid a low tax rate through perfectly legal means, so that is obviously a major scandal that would disqualify him from being president. He also had money in foreign accounts, whch we know because he disclosed it as required to the IRS. So right there you know he must be a crook.
