No,but it gives them 10-12 new Democrat Senators.Dems could than end gerrymandering allowing Dems to have The House most of the time.Dems would also get a few more House seats.The extra EC votes could come in handy though,Trump was less than 50,000 votes from a tie in The EC. A Republican would occasionally win The WH but a republican president cant pass any GOP laws or ever add conservative judges to The SC if Dems always have The Senate.
