How Cuba survived peak oil

  1. More.. Communism is Good BS.....

Didn't take my edit. so here I go again....

I agree we need to change our energy use sources... But please dont do it under the guise that communism is good.

    One key MAJOR point....

Cuba's agriculture... They were so bent on exporting what they produced they couldn't even feed their people well during the "Good" times... So this forced them to GROW UP....

When the resources in your country are controlled by government and used to "make money" and not take care of your citizens, when some outside force occurs, this is what you get....

The US has been there before....

And now we are headed back again. We are so Convenience focused most of don't have simple survival skills. The average Urban dweller doesn't know the 1st thing about planting crops... Self Sustenance.

We Buy GMO seeds from Monsanto that wont reproduce... What plant doesn't naturally produce it's own seeds...This is insane!!!!

I am reminded of Jurrasic Park However... Nature will find a way....

  2. Cuba living standards are too poor, to say the least.

Of course they would survive oil crisis, few people can afford cars.

Few people has TVs, computers, radios, clothes-washers, clothes-dryers, water-heaters, etc.

Sitting all day in the sidewalk doesn't consume much oil, does it?
