That paragraph on the front page of ET is hilarious. It's an idealistic mission statement, but the realities of human beings are much more twisty and complicated, demented with individualistic damaged psychology. You just can't fully help the world

The market goes where it wants to go.

 

I don't think the market really knows where it is going; it is totally that traders and analysts use several strategies for predicting the market movements.

 

Not a chance. I was here 22 years before I got to go to the meetings.

 

But money spent at supermarket is an expense, not for profit.

 

Yes, the market is driven by buying and selling, but it does 'know' where it's going — and technical analysis is the best tool to reveal that direction.

 

Your stomach begs to differ with your brain.
