how can I tell what video card is in my computer?

    This may be a stupid question but I am not very good with computers.

    How can I tell what video card I have inside my computer without opening up the case?

  2. right click on my computer,device manager,click on display adapter, right click on it and go to properties.

    on Winxp, right click My Computer, hardware tab, device manager, then display adapters

  5. - Right-mouse click on your desktop and select "Properties".
    - Click on the "Settings" tab in the Display Properties window.
    - Click on the "Settings" tab. Your VGA card type should be specified under "Display".
    - If not, click on the Advanced button and then go to the Adapter tab.

    Directions for users of Windows ME, Windows 2000 and Windows XP

    1) Click SCAN NOW
    2) When the promt appears make sure you select OPEN. If you click Save the scan WILL NOT WORK!
    3) The results will open in a new window

    note: the on-line instruction say select OPEN but it means RUN button,

    - a new window will open with complete detal of your computer just drag corner to make window bigger then scroll down to wideo section
