How can I automate a trading system?

Discussion in 'Automated Trading' started by Trader_Herry, Sep 25, 2006.

  1. Hi Guys....Ive been an avid ET reader for a while...bout time i post.

    Sorry my first is a question, but if I have a few indicators, programmed for tradestation, and am looking to automate them, and I am pretty sure I dont have the computer expertise to do it myself, can anyone point me in the direction of someone i could pay to do it for me, and maybe give me an idea of how much i should expect to pay.

    5 indicators that interact on a single timeframe, and the automation would have to generate buy/sells from the confluence of those 5 indicators across 3 dif. timeframes. Hope this makes sense.

    Thanx!

  2. Hi SB,

    There's an absolute ton of information in the TradeStation Support Forums for everything from taking classes/seminars in EasyLanguage to finding different specialized indicators which other traders have created to a plethora of EasyLanguage Support Specialists.

    Here's the EL Specialist Directory:
    https://www.tradestation.com/Support/Specialists/default.aspx

    Here's the more general forum(s):

    Good trading,

    JJ

  3. Thanks JJ,

    The EL specialist site looks like a great resource. Do you have any personal recommendations or experiences with anyone in particular in that list.

    Plus, it has already been discussed in this thread briefly, but is a NDA enough to keep my algorithms safe, im sure it depends on the individual doing the automation...but I'd appreciate your thoughts.

    Thanx again!

  4. Sorry, but I don't have any Tradestation Coding experience with the coders listed but do know that Clayburg is legit, but he doesn't do custom programming and I'm pretty sure Swingwaver Trading, LLC did the coding for the RC Series of strategies, but I don't know how expensive they're going to be for the retail trader at this point. You might want to give either one of them a call and see where it goes.

    Good trading,

    JJ
