> How are you traders competing with (and beating) the algos, HFTs A legendary ET member wrote a book on exactly this topic, titled `Beat the Machines.'
As opposed to "newb handles" that are the same person posting 2500 times to drum up ad revenue for this garbage site? I surmise 80% of the content on this site is internal errr inbred musings.
Hey Dave, Based on the amount of time you waste on this site and $$'s you squeeze from fresh blood are you at least making 5 cents an hour? You are a pathetic rube..
Slartibartfast, Leave SaltyNuts alone man. He ask decent questions in a kind manner and respectful way. Some of us, including myself, do not have as much as experience as you more experienced traders. I sure don't. Let the guy ask whatever he wants to.
Relax SoesWasBetter, let newbies post whatever they want to. Everyone just trying to trade to make the money. Not all questions are simple and straightforward to everyone.
"How are you traders competing with (and beating) the algos, HFTs, etc.?" Couple of pointers: 1. We don't. We try to beat the market, not the machines. (Dave gave the wrong title to his book, but that was expected.) 2. Machines make the market MORE predictable, not less. Predictability is Goooood. 3 This would only matter if you were a spoofer or another HFT and we are not. 4. In the current high volatility a couple of ticks here or there counts much less than during the summer doldrum. TL;DR: We can't and don't.
