  1. So American oligarchs, like water, seek their own level...no matter what the impact of the flood may wreak?

  3. Yes, they do...and the peons drowning in unemployment and debt think if they vote republican and wave the flag that one day they might have them too...

Americans have shown time and again that they put the carrot cart before their own horse...

  4. You seem peeved about the wealth-transfer via TARP, Maiden Lane, FASB rule changes, Fed 0% loans to member banks that take from savers and screw those on fixed income (elderly) so that Wall St can have record bonuses this year. Why?

  5. If I am "peeved" it is about the stupidity of the American people...who seek to blame their elected leaders for their own uneducated decision making.

Not a single politician comes to mind who has told the American people that essentially they are the ones to blame for the American problems we have.

I see lots of blaming, but no politician dares to blame their own followers...

I see no patriotism in America, just jingoism, lust for money, letting someone else make sacrifices to wage expensive wars, etc.

It isn't a left or right issue, it is a personal responsibility issue. Obama played upon people's stupidity as much as Sarah Palin plays upon the unrealistic vision of America that her followers and Fox News viewers cling to...

Americans love to blame someone other than themselves for their problems...yet take all the credit for their own luck...

The tea party pols for the most part will sell out if they stay in D.C. long enough...just wait and see....

Starting two foreign wars...while cutting taxes and not instituting a draft says it all as to how far we have actually fallen.

Blaming Wall Street is the easy and moronic thing to do...they are just a mirror of the level of corruption and greed that infects the average American...

  6. The average American lives...an average life.

Follow the money. The person who controls the purse-strings in a household rules the house. Why would it be different for a country?

  7. The average American only allows the acts of Wall Street because they care more about their stocks going up than they do about the ideals of America they preach to others...

If you are justifying the actions of the leaders who plunder the followers, it reveals your own nature...

  8. How many lobbyists do you have in D.C. cajoling and contributing tens of thousands of dollars to congressmen/senators?

Or maybe you think your average vote and $10 campaign contribution is what moves Washington.

You think the guys in D.C. do what "average" people want?

Most average people didn't want the banks bailed out. Most average people want financial crime prosecuted at levels like the S&L crises.

You think anybody in D.C. cares what the "average" American wants?

  9. The power is in the hands of the people, that they have abdicated the exercise of it to the pols we have...is their fault.

You seem to want to blame the symptoms for the disease that is ravaging our country and society...

  10. You seem to think that people who were voted into office can't be bought.
