How about the ability to delete/edit one's own threads?

Discussion in 'Feedback' started by trader56, Sep 9, 2009.

  1. Many internet fora have the ability for a user to go in and edit or delete their only their own posts at any time after posting them.

Is there any reason we couldn't have that capability here?

You can edit your post within 30 minutes after originally submitting it.

We put a time limit on it because there were cases where people were making calls on certain stocks and when the call went against them days later, they would edit their original post by changing the direction of their call to act like they had been right all along.

  3. Thank you for the reply, Baron. Yes, I do know about the 30 minute limit and have used it.

The reason I suggest this is that in the heat of the moment, I've been guilty of posting things I'd wished I hadn't such as posts calling out someone I believed to be a fraud or posting useless "information."

Understand your perpsective, just thought I'd voice an idea.
