We're never going to meet eye to eye, but your ideas on Libertarians are a bit extreme

Btw, I live in Asia, with my family with kids in a very dense urban city. I could never live in Singapore, but may visit for a very short time if ever

Drugs are illegal in Asia, and Asia is very very safe compared to US, have a relative on vacation, told me my cousin's car got broken into twice already, and they live in a "safe" neighborhood, US is fucking devolving into Mad Max and The Purge world, whatever, glad we're both out of that place

Let's start from the beginning, we're all born free in this world but the governments want to enslave us which is why Superman protects Liberty, Truth and Justice for all

You're never going to read the Sovereign Individual, but let's start with a basic concept of family and extended family as a "sovereign community". You fuck up, scam your relatives, you get shunned

Let's go another example, Church "sovereign community", you belong to a church, they catch you messing around with another person's wife, you get ex-communicated, boom, you're out of the church, don't attend anymore

Let's do another example, you're a member of the "Yakuza community" and you mess up, they cut your fingers, you keep messing up, they cut your head, you're out

Last example, virtual "sovereign community", you belong to Bitcoiner bros, or crypto brotherhood, you spread the gospel of hardest money or decentralized money, you shit post on forums such as ET, there you go

So all these examples are mini nations, outside of the geographical nation states that you may be located in. Your loyalty is usually stronger to these "sovereign communities" than the nation state that tries to control all your freedom, I know speaking for myself, it's true for the extended family example

Libertarianism as you call it is a state of mind, don't seek government officials permissions for everything, think for yourself, like when you were born free as God had given you with all of your life liberties and the pursuit of happiness

    :D

Glad we can agree to disagree and also agree that America has been devolving into a shit show for close to a decade and isn't about to snap out of this anytime soon.
You're making my point with your examples... On one hand your talking microcosmes, like my point about rural living, and on the other hand you recognize that no matter, there will be rules to follow or else. That is, there are no sovereign individuals. If the neighbor's wife wants to have a fling with me, we are two consenting "sovereign" adults, yet the cheated husband is victimized so whose sovereignty are we trampling on? Decisions aren't made on the fly, because for fairness sake, you have to codify precedent, establish social and ultimately legal rules... You're talking about originalist sovereignty that is the fable of religious books.
You may have chosen to live out your life far from rules and regulations, but you can't deny that without them, anything that's yours is mine if I decide so unless your gun is bigger than mine or if a set of laws and mista po-po is close by to enforce these.

  4. i've always assumed it's all traceable and anonymity doesn't exist online. Bitcoin, darkweb, TOR browser blablabla. Doesn't matter how clever you think you are and what tools you use. Government will get you if they want too

This article is about 10 years old. But I remember that for the first 3-5 years cryptobros were pushing the anonymous line. About 82% of the original claims about Bitcoin were bogus.
