My current accountant recently proved to me that he doesn't know WTF he's doing when it comes to providing guidance re: trading. Not only is he not familiar with how commodities are taxed, but he was confused when I raised the issue of carried losses applied towards future gains (he tried to tell me they could only be applied to $3k income). No joke, his response was "It's really complicated and I will have to key all the numbers into my computer"...lmao.
