The inventory of new homes for sale last October had increased slightly to 360,000 units, representing a thin four-months supply at current sales pace. However, the above numbers don't necessarily reflect actual units that have been completed and are for sale. Some of the inventory increase could very well represent units "permitted" but not yet started, as well as units still under construction. Feb. 17th will provide the latest Housing Data for the country.
