Merry Christmas and Happy New Year, to you, DbPhoenix. I don't know how you keep this up. I have hardly any tongue left from biting it so many times. I've learned a lot about people and why they succeed or fail from lurking through the journals. But I have never been able to figure out what it is that causes the active "seek to destroy" type of trolling seen in various journals. Thank you for everything!
Good to hear from you. No, it's not difficult to see why so many people fail. Or why it matters so much to them to bring down others. I was just thinking the other day how people are asking the same questions they were asking a dozen years ago and arguing about the same things. For literally thousands of posts. But there's no point in my participating in any of that anymore. You can't stop people from sabotaging themselves. Best of luck in the coming year. (By the way, you may have noticed that your bete noire was banned.)
Since this range was brought up at 0900, a half-hour before the "open", I'll point out for those who are interested that after rallying to the midpoint of this range at the open, we reversed and are now at 4276. I find that knowing these things ahead of time is more useful than "real-time" calls, though not everyone agrees.
To make this journal another off topic post longer, I just want to add that for everyone who has read a big part of all the thousands of posts DB has made over the years - which are full of destilled wisdom - it should be pretty clear that this all has nothing to do with arrogance. Magnaninimity (had to google that) is the word that fits maybe. At the end, trading is a lonely business and everybody has to deal with hisself...
I close out 2014 with yesterday's chart: These journals have had their fair share of trolls. One of our most recent was long yesterday in the YM, ES, and NQ, doubling down in the NQ. In addition, he believed that the selling was over at lunchtime. This is why I don't take trolls' disparaging remarks seriously. I mean, really . . . Nonetheless, a profitable 2015 for everyone, even the trolls.
"Nonetheless, a profitable 2015 for everyone, even the trolls." That's what bmwhendrix meant in all likelihood. I had to go back and read again to get the clear sense of what he was saying. Gringo
