"The American Republic will endure until the day Congress discovers that it can bribe the public with the public's moneyâ Alexis de Tocqueville
Does anyone notice how the public is so manipulated by the media? One of the highlights of yesterday is all weekend the news kept hyping how the bill is all wrapped up and set to pass on Monday. The crew of high level politicians ran their TV campaign trying to scare the hell out of the nation with "if they don't pass this bill the entire system will fail". What a joke. I was against the bill in the way it was written. I would support some kind of support but would want the bill to address the actual issues rather then stockpiling failed and flawed companies with OUR money. There are several other versions of other bailout bill ideas that have been circulated by economists that address the actual issues rather then just addressing all of the failed financially engineered "investments" If someone takes the time to read the bill as presented to the house it was a joke. There are much better options.
Weren't they getting blitzed a mere 48 hours ago by the public NOT to pass the bill? Then suddenly the market crashes and Joe Schmoe is in love with the bill all of a sudden? Lol, people are crazy sometimes. Then again, these are the same peeps that re-elected Bush and gave him record approval ratings, and now hate him.
THERE IS NO "MONEY POWER". THERE IS NO PRIVATE CARTEL THAT OWNS THE FEDERAL RESERVE. JACKSON, LINCOLN, JEFFERSON AND WASHINGTON WERE ALL CONSPIRACY THEORISTS.
The senate votes tommorrow on the revamped bill and it's expected to pass easily as not very many of them are up for re-election. Then the house should get it on Thursday. And if it is really true that constituents have flip-flopped, then the bill will pass there too. Wall Street gets our $700B. Oh well. We can all remember Monday as one good day when our representatives said no to the wall street fat cats. I have to admit I was in a very good mood that day. It was nice to see it happen. Frankly, there probably will be some good that comes from this rescue plan. But it just strikes me as one of the most morally wrong things they have ever done with our money.
House's IT system has crashed due to record amount of emails. http://thehill.com/leading-the-news...uent-e-mails-to-prevent-crash-2008-09-30.html
Just look at who owns the major news outlets. And how they would benefit from the bailout. They have perfected their scare tactics.
That's right everyone, forget about what Jackson, Lincoln, Jefferson, and Washington ever said. They're all wackos. Lets instead listen to this guy on EliteTrader. Naive buddy. Money trumps all else. You could benefit immensely from studying what these wise men preached.
