jem, honey, shouldn't you make an effort to be politically more correct? You can catch more flies with sugar, honey, than with vinegar.

I have no respect for Tony lies... and misrepresentations... not interested in catching anything he has.

So you are back to calling me honey... are you some sort of repressed old man living in the south dreaming of a aux cage folles lifestyle?

Common sense would dictate you look at the NHS of the UK and Cuba as examples. The NHS rations healthcare and that will be the result if were to adopt Medicare for all! People are dying because they are not getting the care. In addition, the huge cost in tens of trillions will bankrupt the US! There is nobody going to be left to pay for it in the end! Remember the government will run healthcare and cost overruns will even be worst because clueless bureaucrats will give themselves enormous salaries and perks on top of it! Take Amtrak and the US Postal Service. Do not tell me the US government is doing an awesome job of it! In Cuba, only the top officials and Castro brothers have first class healthcare while, most of the poor masses stuffed in dirty hospitals with feces and urine on the floors, patients left to die on their own! That will happen to the US if we allow it! Obamacare right now is just a preview! Most Americans lost their medical insurance under Obamacare, premiums rose thru the roof, deductibles rose thru the roof and subsidies for the poor on top of that, coming out of your pocket! Do not tell me that is a success. We have not even gotten to the rationing part of Obamacare but, it is coming!

The govt can easily produce this and sell it just above cost.

  8. Also it was proven in various ways that it is not any more expensive to produce than it was in 1996 and even using simple inflation, it should not have ballooned to such a price. Fucktard health care companies using insulin to bend over consumers because they know it has to be bought and no other choice even though it is mass produced.

The other thing they know is that it has to be refrigerated so inconvenient, if not impossible, to order from Canada, England, or Mexico or Ecuador at a tiny fraction of the price.

Another Example: Albuterol/Salmeterol inhaler (used by asthmatics) : 90 mcg in U.S.; 100 mcg elsewhere; Prices (shipping included) : Ecuador $8.00; Canada ~ $26 ; England ~$26 ; U.S. ~$150 (according to insurer), $50 copay after satisfying deductible.

U.S. healthcare is the poster child for everything bad about regulatory capture in a market with inelastic demand. Capitalism is a bitch when the buyer can't walk.

Go to Medicare for all. I'm fine with it. Big savings on the corporate income statement. Those with money will get specialized care either here or elsewhere. Care for the poor will suffer and be rationed, with medical breakthroughs on the paid service level.

Like everything else that government touches, it'll be ripe for corruption and inefficiency, and the policy will explode in the end and be financially unsustainable.

Bring it on. I'm in the sweet spot to benefit immensely from this.
