Regarding barriers to entry for grow operations... oh they are (and will be) HUGE. The various states will be dishing out the licenses and they will be extremely selective of who they give them out to. Those licenses will be very valuable. This will be an extremely well regulated industry if it ever goes nationwide here and anytime that's the case with the government involved.... red tape out the ass. State and Federal on this one. Double nightmare. As for branding. From what I'm reading and what I've been told.... people are getting very loyal to certain strains grown by certain operations. It looks trendy AF to me. You millennial's like your brands that's for sure. So yeah, there will be a high degree of marketing prowess involved for a nationwide operator. Nothing new there when selling consumables to Americans. There will be proprietary strains too though. Must have, gourmet stuff with a story attached. Also, new strains will be introduced regularly too by the big players... just to keep things fresh and moving. Keep the public's interest. Giant strawberries huh? Hmph... who'd have thought. Sounds good. Gotta get the taste right though. Nothing worse than those cardboard strawberries you get in the off-season. Ditto tomatoes.

Just like white chocolate , dark , milk etc. Most likely, ours, would have tasted as the cardboard itself ; im glad that it was only an idea.
