Hong Kong Dollar About To Pop ?

  1. Most of my strategies are fully algorithmic and my discretionary book I trade a lot longer term, days/weeks. Funny, I am at the moment in the process of applying for PR in Canada. Received an ITA and getting all documents together now.

  3. Where do you source interest rate/bond data?

  4. Different sources for different purposes. How do you aim to peruse the data? Discretionary pricing?

  5. Just trying to test/construct some indicators for market sentiment including credit spreads, yield curves, etc. Not looking to pay anything so wondering if you use IB for those data? i prefer raw data instead of pre-made indices or etf prices
How do you immigrate to canada as an "unemployed"? opening a business requires hiring some locals and skilled worker means to work and to fall under some occupation category which doesn't have trading, which made me only consider "investor" immigration programs including canada, spain, etc. I studied in the university of toronto but left right after school. tired of japan/hk. might go do a phd or something for fun at mcgill

  7. Nice moves in the dollar index. All going according to plan. Yield differentials support the up move. Next target 103.70 levels made at the end of 2016.

  8. I do worry that the rest of world easy policies will drag the US into it as well..not sure the exact mechanism but there is respected (theoretical) research saying it is difficult to be an outlier in monetary policy. Kind of like equity markets, when things are good, names move idiosyncratically but when shit hits they go together
