Comunist party in China gone 'soft' unlike the cultural revolution. counter revolutanist are arrested and killed. and people clap their hands and celebrate. Now the US congress or big mouth loud politicians putting fuel in a tense riot..GDP has collapsed 50% and many business in Hong Kong has seen business dropped 90% and laying off employees. How will 'democracy' in a city like Hong Kong matter. You don't have a human right to riot and use fire bombs or attack police or trying to destroy the economy and cause and overthrow of gov't. rioting and protesting is not 'human right' Before the civil war in syria, unmployment for youth was 30% as increase in pop. but no demand for workers or human labor. the global pop. has increase by 100% in developing countries but there is no demand for human labor.. capitalism is dog eat dog. and competition and making profits at the cost of the environment and workers and layoffs as in free trade. socialism and the welfare state is the only way as riots from unemployment and rising inflation. there is no future for young rioters in hong kong, they are fustrated from bad ecnomy. they have no money to buy the inflated apartments and blame the gov't when the gov't cannot do a dam thing . emperical evidence that riots decrease GDP. as the economy gets worse, those who are unmployed hs nothing to lose and resort violence and civil war.. and the US military will supply them with guns by dropping them off via helicopters like they did in syria and CIA funding them with cash. or bags of USD to feed the rebels.
US gov will probably get involved and side against the protestors. Depends on what US company's and business interests have to lose from this.
