Homophobic Attitudes Likely To Be Stronger Among Those Who Have Repressed Same-Sex Attraction: Report

A new study has confirmed what many in the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) community have suspected for some time: that homophobic attitudes are likely to be more pronounced among those who've experienced unacknowledged attraction towards members of the same sex.
"In many cases these are people who are at war with themselves and they are turning this internal conflict outward," Ryan is quoted as saying. "We laugh at or make fun of such blatant hypocrisy, but in a real way, these people may often themselves be victims of repression and experience exaggerated feelings of threat. Homophobia is not a laughing matter."

This is why no one takes these clowns seriously anymore, with all the pressing problems in the world these boneheads decide to waste precious resources on a study which is basically just a big fuck you to homophobes. Im sure that they were really unbiased when doing this study too....

Also the study doesnt even make any sense, cause if you go by their logic, then anyone who hates liberals in fact has secret liberal tendency, or members of the kkk secretly want to be black, all liberals who hate conservatives are secretly conservative...

  3. and posters who continually start new threads (endlessly post) about homophobes are secretly homo's.

"Critics have observed that [the word] homophobia is problematic for at least two reasons.

First, empirical research does not indicate that heterosexuals' antigay attitudes can reasonably be considered a phobia in the clinical sense. Indeed, the limited data available suggest that many heterosexuals who express hostility toward gay men and lesbians do not manifest the physiological reactions to homosexuality that are associated with other phobias (see Shields & Harriman, 1984).

Second, using homophobia implies that antigay prejudice is an individual, clinical entity rather than a social phenomenon rooted in cultural ideologies and intergroup relations. Moreover, a phobia is usually experienced as dysfunctional and unpleasant. Antigay prejudice, however, is often highly functional for the heterosexuals who manifest it.

As antigay attitudes have become increasingly central to conservative political and religious ideologies since the 1980s, these limitations have become more problematic..."

"homophobia" is a word coined in an attempt to "shame" or scare heterosexuals into accepting homosexuals. It's a word over used and abused by the left as part of their never ending pro gay agenda, not unlike the term racism is abused to point of having little real meaning any more.

  5. U and these liberal ( i.e. educated) scientists have em pegged. Not that hard really. ET is a great lab for this kind of stuff.

If I wore women's clothes and worked a mostly women's job, as you do, I'd probably stay out of homo discussions myself.

  7. Lucrum, you seem to really be having a lot of homoerotic imaging in your head again, and it makes you look really bad. You should get that looked into.

Again, if you are gay, just say so. No one talks about men in women's clothing on this site except you. If you are cross dressing and feel guilt about it, a therapist can help you out.

But you are seriously saying a lot about yourself, bruh. You need to look into your posting choices. They reveal a lot.

  8. this kind of fits there guys:

He goes, 'Fine. Prove it.' I'm like, 'Alright. Do you like porn?' He goes, 'Yeah, I love porn. You know that.' I'm like, 'Do you only watch scenes with two women together?' 'No, I watch a man and a woman making love.' 'Do you like the guy to have a small, half-flaccid penis?' He goes, 'No, I like big, hard, throbbing c**ks.'
