Homeschool your kids

  1. I believe there are specific colleges that lean left or right in the liberal arts sections but within those colleges, no one is forced to learn under a certain ideology. PLenty of conservatives come out of Bverkley and plenty of liberals come out of University of Chicago.

If you are a political science major, then I can see professor's beliefs being worked into the lectures. But you are not forced into believing them to get an A in the class.

But what about engineering, math, physics, language, English, Psychology, pre-med, theater etc.... these people are not being brainwashed into an idealogy, they are just learning their major.

Are you saying physics majors, architects and engineers are coming out as proponents of liberal brainwashed calculus and particle physics?

  2. Is there a claim that colleges are pushing out liberal brainwashed finance majors and liberal brainwashed nurses?

What about biology....what is the brainwashing by the radical left occuring in biology?

engineering...have you met any engineers??? There is nothing subjective about them....all math and process.

The idea that colleges are brainwashing students is because people on the right want to focus on some segment of students and bitch and moan about liberal ideas being shoved down their throat which is not true.

    Computer science???? liberal brainwashing?

You are better off educating your children and grandchildren and start a business and include the entire family. What they learn would be more valuable than, what you would get in an extreme liberal university where they brainwash your kids and grandkids on how Socialism and Communism is good and to hate the US on top of that. Did you see that video of kids trashing the US flag? Also, a successful business, you can hand down to future generations of your family to run.

No, I think that is a fair point - you can't exactly teach a biased doctrine in the sciences. But what about liberal arts?

  5. I think you will find the more liberal/left leaning colleges are the ones with large liberal arts departments (Politics, History, English, sociology etc...) That is why UC Berkley, Brandeis and other similar schools have been labelled left leaning colleges and there is a lot of truth. Not brainwashing, just a mroe common undergraduate class with similar leanings and it keeps attracting the same.

Not that they don't have their GOP clubs but definitely a minority. At Berkley you will see more activism for minorities, LGBTetc and social movements from those departments. Of coruse they have science and math departments but most are going to those schools for the liberal arts. Many of the movements in the 60s came out of those schools.

I think you also have to look geographically at where the school is located. For example, compare U. of Miss versus Boston University, I think having more local students fidns the colleges having a leaning toward local politics.

The other factor is graduate programs. Looking at UPenn and U of Chicago, their graduate business schools demonstrate more of their deeper political leanings than your common undergrad. same if you compare Harvard law versus Stanford Law.

So many factors that you would have to go school by school or state by state.

Odd that we never hear about any universities being accused of being too conservative. If they truly were, you can bet your bottom dollar that liberals would be all over them.

  7. Well doesn't that tell you something...

Conservatives get all their panties in a bunch over the narrative that universities are too liberal and brainwashing and you never hear libs complaining a university is too conservative....they will simply choose not to go there.
