Dumb that a guy whose so rich would leave a home that he admits is a part of his life and memories over a few million per year in taxes. sell your home; buy a house; die with a pile of money.
I'm sure there's more to it than that. A 24 acre estate on the side of Mt Rainier to live out the rest of his years at, considering all the things he's seen and done, is probably pretty appealing to him at this point in the game. He deserves the serenity. I think he just used the opportunity to take a public swipe at some very unappreciative "powers that be" in CA with that quote.
