Wolfe, It makes perfect sense to me. One can tune into a market, and anticipate moves weeks if not months ahead of time. Some use TA, others fundys, and still others a combo of both. But it certainly is possible, and for those who are tuned, most probable.
It's always most interesting to find out what it will be and in what market. Never know until it happens. In oil, the top was a very strong feeling while reading the weekend issue of IBD. Buried back in the commodity blurb, an Australian banker is quoted, "Who is brave enough to be short energies in this world environment". Israel was invading Lebanon. Iranian made missiles were falling on Haifa. Talk was of a war by proxy between US and Iran. Worst fears actually beginning to happen. T Boone Pickens calls for $100 oil. Analysts from here to everywhere follow him in lock-step. Traders are so long this market, there just couldn't be a downside. But there was that one sentence... Now the strange thing is, I don't know fundamentals in a market. But, I've been pretty much preaching one side of the oil fundamental picture... basically, how new supply was going to come into this market. Big and new. Ever since reading that single sentence. That sentence got me thinking short from the very top. From there, it was whatever caught my interest next. Couldn't tell anyone why fundies in this market got my attention. If anything, all my learning has been from the tech side. Fundies in oil, this time, seemed important. Something to focus on. At the same time, I'm following silver. Couldn't care less about the fundamentals there; haven't even looked at them. There is something very technical to focus on. And its been just as accurate and for longer. And that is the strange thing! It seems whatever I focus on, rather whatever gets my attention, becomes important to the market tomorrow or next week. Or in a few months. Like most others with a decent brain, I've been skeptical of this for years. Even while it was happening. But recently, I've just been able to trust it, and its just working. Better than anything I've seen before. Earlier today, a friend and I were discussing Edgar Cayce (Casey?). The guy who could diagnose illness by going into a trance. Distance did not matter. Hundreds, thousands of cases and he wasn't wrong. Something like this, I think, could be what is going on here. I approach these things with a healthy measure of skepticism, always. My friend just notes (because we talk about markets quite a bit), "Don't know, man. But whenever you say what might tomorrow or next week, it happens." I'm pretty much coming to the same conclusions. Too often to be chance or coincidence. Too "out there" for any type of proof outside of just doing it. But, it's working. And I'm going to go with it.
so lets put your intuition to the test. Tomorrow, Will the US stock market close lower or higher than todays close.
i have a robust 95% system and my iq is not that high........emini's only....all time frames.....all markets....
Wolfe, Consider it intuition. And, in some cases contrary intuition. If you follow Silver, you know when bullish sentiment gets over 90% the market only has one way to go. In crude, regardless of what everyone says, the market has been in a virtual trading range, with a slight upward bias for months and months on end, since Katrina. Long term, that's not very bullish. When we pull out of Iraq, before Presidental elections, crude will tank. Cayce was a totally different situation.
Is it just me, or do the last two pages sound like an infomercial? This is disastrous, an absolute travesty-some trading stuff leaked into chit chat, it's just-not on. Even if grob is in this thread, which lends some credibility, except that nobody in chit-chat could possibly understand it, talking about the holy grail in chit chat is UNHEARD of. No, this just cant be allowed-can it?
I had a point? I resent that insinuation. This is chit chat is all, its unusual for any particular trading related stuff to reach these levels. I have the greatest respect for grob, i just cant understand what he's talking about. Btw, whats your handle about ? Only tron-also?tron, the movie?
I signed on as onlytron, but they didn't send me the confirming email. So I signed on as onlytronalso The chit chat's gotten pretty deep Sorry won't do it again
No, it only got deep when a thread containing grob quotes got bumped down here. But, i mean, TRON, the sci fi movie? You said it was deep , not me.
