The celebrity mentality is, 'I've got mine now let me preach my morality to you feeble minded viewers who worship me.'

 

The former "Republic" is essentially dead. Now that anyone with a heartbeat, and some without one, can vote. For all intents and purposes we're now a democracy. Hence one of the several reason we're failing.
