I hold all my Euro's in my trading account. However, I wanted easyer acces to conversion thus, I called US banks to see if they hold euro's. Surprise, as of two months ago, (I was told) that US banks will not hold Euro's for US citizens. They will convert the euro, but there are a few days of lag time after deposit to be converted. Interesting that non of the US banks I spoke with allowed "Euro's" to be held. If anyone else has an idea of a US bank that will allow one to hold Euro's, let me know. I beleive there are none.
