I have posted MANY thoughtful responses and posts. I have posted why I think bitcoin is a revolution in detail. I have also posted challenges to my own line of thinking, such as what developments would make me change my positive view, etc. Ive essentially stopped doing it tho because the responses from the noncoiners are frankly ... pretty dumb. Either weird insults with no substance or repeating things that have already been disproved (such as anybody with 1BB can take over the bitcoin network and do a 51% attack, all of bitcoins gains are from Tether, the govt will ban it, its too slow for transactions with no mention of a level 2 like lightning, etc). As far as the broader crypto/defi space no shit there is a lot of fraud. Everybody knows that. Not investing in bitcoin (or a few other high-quality crypto projects) because you read a story of a random exchange getting hacked or whatever is just stopping you from making money from this technology. There are many safe custody options. Dont act like all crypto will just disappear from your wallet one day, that just shows you know basically nothing about this. Also, I never said or think this always goes up. Hell bitcoin just went down 70%. Guess what? That will happen again I guarantee you. This has 80% vol, it's a statistical certainty that these drawdowns will happen. I do however think bitcoin is a great idea whos time has come, and the fundamental trends agree with me, so the LONG TERM march to high prices will continue (that's my opinion) Also, I don't just hold and never sell, that's for amateurs. At the end of the day, we can all have our opinions. If you are honest with yourself tho, this has objectively been one of the greatest assets in history and its now 13 years old. Its compounded at >100% per year for over 13 years. Even if you take out the early years, the returns are still amazing. And all of this AFTER it just went down 70%! If you think this is all fake, well your on the other side of Steve Cohn, Druckenmiller, Bill Miller, Blackrock, Google, JPM, Paul Tudor Jones, etc. Good luck.
