Hoaxes in the Journals

If there are cases like Hwang Woo-Suk and Jan Hendrik Schön in the Science world. Then it can also happen in the financial world. How can we know that the papers published in the Journal of Finance/JFE/Futures are all true?

 

The only way to know if a trade is real is when the open and close are posted realtime.

 

Now that reply is a good example of reading the subject/topic but not the actual post. False signal.

Well, the experts and academics will check on each other's work. Sooner or later if anybody fakes anything will got found out eventually, just like the two scientists you mentioned as examples.
