I agree with you. No question about it. That's a main reason any guru should take the combine, it prevents cherry picking and proves the person may actually be truthful. Refusing to take the combine, yet at the same time selling a stellar record--- that's the main issue that proves something isn't as it may seem. Facts are I am a sloppy trade manager. Fortunately, I have hit enough home runs to be ahead of the game over time. But short term trade management is my weakness as I am over confident the position will come back. Even though I know better! surf
Someone named Crispy passed. I don't think there was anyone else. Correct me if I am wrong. Thanks surf
Austin P is the only vendor with the balls to take the combine. Win lose or draw-- he is the real thing and deserves respect.
I just did a quick review of his posting history here at ET. He doesn't talk much about his own trading as in revealing very little to the usual mental cases that bashes others. That's a good thing.
Apparently Crispy has experience in prop trading and used to trade at Worldco back in the day... http://www.elitetrader.com/vb/showthread.php?s=&postid=3847671#post3847671 If true, that means he isn't your typical at-homer.
The same Worldco firm @ http://www.finra.org/Newsroom/NewsReleases/2004/P002861 If so, good traders from there that lost a lot and others that were able to pick themselves up and start again.
This. Apparently for ms, one profitable trade means more than making a profit for the week, month, quarter. All capital in a trading account isn't yet yours when you continue trading, that's why real traders remain quite emotionless or even uneasy after a period of great trades.
