    Dude,

Don't you get it. As long as you continue some insane thought that I was talking about my abilities or inabilities to predict short term price direction when in fact I was questioning 1a2b3cppp about his profitable long term trading, recommending he stick with that instead of trying to find answers from day traders and scalpers...

Your attempt to fabricate a LIE about something I did not say nor imply doesn't sit to well with me. Therefore, I do not answer any questions professionally or personally about myself to you.

Actually, your (everyone's) managing (understanding) the game (markets) is first and foremost. Like in the Music Man: "ya gotta know the territory"

Another well used phrase is; "know thy enemy"

When I did sales, it was always best to: "know your customer and feed their needs, then and only then will they buy the goods you are peddling"

Without a very darn good knowledge of what makes the mkts and traders click, knowing yourself has no bearing on the outcome because until you understand "fear/greed and fight or flight", all the zigs and zags on the charts will never make sense. The zigs/zags are the footprints in the snow of all the inputs from all the players. Your job now is to untangle who wants to buy or sell more than the other guys when price does what price will do.

Knowing yourself is nothing more than being relaxed in the mkt's because your understanding of the game itself is what will bring you comfy. Comfy only comes after you devised a plan about how to attact the mkt itself.

I see words like you (a few times), ya, your, yourself in the above statement. Therefore, I will stick with the belief that the trader is the most important edge. :D

  5. A sensible question to ask of someone with `trader' as part of his handle who's holding forth in a trading thread. I wonder why the surly, evasive replies?

  6. The guy asking him the question isn't very bright, apparently. Hence, the lack of a reply by the agitated party.

  8. The answer is yes or no. Not paragraphs of verbal non stop pontifications

Afraid to say Yes, afraid to say No, afraid to predict. Just afraid.

  10. How strange! I click on the link and I see his trading history back to 2005. The answer to your question is yes, he is profitable and has been for a long time.
