    While a discussion of "real-time" trades or calls may seem tangential, it does fall under the umbrella of the topic of the thread, even though online real-time calls are an impossibility. They are too easy to fake (actually, they're easy to fake in a trading room as well) and are therefore useless.

    Given all of that, I should point out that a trader who's looking for "real-time" trades or calls of any sort is most likely a trader without a plan. He is also therefore most likely a frustrated trader, possibly even angry (hence the perpetual and interminable demands for "proof" and "audited statements" and "tax returns" and other nonsense).

    A course which will go a long way toward quelling this hostility is the development on the part of the hostile wannabe of a trading plan. I explained in large part how to do that yesterday in this thread. But that involves work. It's so much easier to get "calls" from somebody else. But then one places himself in the position of having to demand "proof" and "audited statements" and . . .

    All of which is a longer way of saying Grow Up.

  2. DB,

    Taking into consideration your above post, logic suggests that you shouldn't bother posting on public forums.

    Would you agree?

    Now that you know the ET history with a chat room and that it won't be coming back...not realistically to ask gurus here to post in a chat room.

    Anyways, many of the gurus I've seen in the past here at ET have done the "real-time" trades thing or before the fact signal calls...some of them were profitable and others about breakeven. Yet, if you're talking about someone new here at ET that fits your definition of guru...I really don't know whom that may be in reference to any one with a user name less than 2 years old.

    In contrast, if you're talking about gurus that have been a member here more than a few years...trying to get them to post real-time calls AGAIN for whatever reason via whatever trading instrument will be fruitless (seriously). I'm sure most would agree that they'll rather see old time gurus post details about their trade methods or post educational value message threads instead of posting real-time calls again to satisfy new members of less than a few years as members of Elitetrader.com

    I don’t know DB from Adam, but I can tell you DB does not trade like Mark

    I can also tell you, based on what I’ve read – DB…, I…, and NOD for that matter…, trade similarly (we see trading alike)

    If you like Mark’s method – iow it strikes a chord with you / you can relate – go learn it – then trade it

    With my compliments;

    fact;

    There are more ways to make money trading than one can count – we each need to find our own

  7. Incorrect. You can only trade with the market. For example, most of the ES trades that i have seen on this site, defy logic. Hence, the poor success rate.

    Given how few beginners and not-so-beginners have no idea how to put together a trading plan, my posting is worth the bother to me.

    Year after year after year I've listen to the interviews of Dukascopy trade competition winners (audited real trades) and other competition winners hosted by brokers...

    These traders are doing different things in comparison to other winners or top 10 place winners.

    Simply, I strongly agree with you that there are more ways (different ways) to make money in this market. Yet, they all did have some commonalities like discipline, good trade management, good risk management, trade experience and a few other stuff that most traders seem to think is less important that the trade method itself.
