    Anytime you ask direct questions it turns into a "put down" session

    I don't want to put down anyone- if I cant get answers , what's the point. Fascinating IF the guy showed results though, real money like the thousands of funds that do

    Thinking logically AND critically is absolutely necessary – our actions must be objective and mechanical to the absolute extent we’re able

    See the shit on a chart…, act upon the shit on a chart…., remain well removed from the shit on a chart

    Size loss;

    Obviously small – and you’ll need to define small as only you know your situation

    Plus – you want to survive – I assume, and it may be necessary to take multiple losses in a row

    Reams have been written about risk management – become well versed in it – because managing risk is the only thing that’ll keep you alive

    Better still, get on SIM and trade till you figure this crap out

    Stop;

    Where each trade fails

    Basic set up;

    Sit your ass down in front of your chart and find one

    BS/ frustration;

    Then filter out the unnecessary and focus on what you need – which is obviously the only thing that matters – to you

    Going nowhere;

    I can damn well guarantee it – if you allow it

    Sitting and listening is great – when trading….

    Learning to trade is not a spectator sport by any stretch

    If you're referring to me as a guru - go screw yourself

    If you're not - I stand corrected

    No one alive can teach another how to be a trader - how to trade - yes..., how to think and act like a trader - ain't happening

    Someone else's results don't matter unless you want to copy him, which won't work out, and then you're back to where you started, only poorer.

    As for direct questions, like what? How much money somebody makes? Who cares?

    Then toughen up

    Every flippin day..., mr mkt;

    Shows me how stupid I am, and how much I don't know

    Shows me I am wrong

    Insists I stick my ego and opinion up my ass

    Punishes me unmercifully - if I allow it

    Takes all my money, and more - if I allow it

    Dictates I do exactly as it commands

    Extracts emotional capital - to the extent I alllow

    And you think someone's words are a big deal???

    I could give a shit what my opinion is, much less anyone elses

    Those posting real-time trades or before the fact signal calls are there for your benefit. Simply, they are doing such for themselves for documentation as a journal and not for education purposes.

    That may be why you can't get answers when you ask questions to those posting real-time trades in the journal section of ET...they are not there to educate you or anyone else.

    Further, some (not all) of them do show broker statements but you would already know such if you've been hanging out in the ET's journal section.

  7. If you're referring to the ESjournal, then i'm aware of it.
    However, with all due respect, you won't see a worse bunch of calls.
    Everyday it's just people getting murdered trying to short the ES, which pretty much always marches on up.

    I don't really expect any of the apparent gurus to share their methods. Nobody ever shares anything of use, and I guess it's to be expected.

    Would still like to watch the same traders making consistently good calls in REALTIME though, if only for inspiration/

    I was one of the "charter members" of the index futures chat room.
    Such a shame what happened to it. bighog was one of the most singularly responsible for it's demise.

    I'm not referring to the ES Journal. There's many other journals in the journal section where traders are posting real-time calls or before the fact signal calls. Anyways, I just took a quick look in the journal section and found these real-time journals or before the fact journals:

    RM's occasional market calls @ http://www.elitetrader.com/vb/showthread.php?s=&threadid=210020 (journal that's active and started in 2010 near the top of the active list)

    Ztradez - Trade Journal - 2013 @ http://www.elitetrader.com/vb/showthread.php?s=&threadid=276553 (new journal and not profitable but looks promising)

    EUR/USD and ES journal @ http://www.elitetrader.com/vb/showthread.php?s=&threadid=276345 (new journal and profitable)

    Investing Journal - T2S @ http://www.elitetrader.com/vb/showthread.php?s=&threadid=223871 (not sure why he calls it investing when it seems to have a position trading or long term trade mentality to it...yet profitable)

    Pair Trading Strategy Journal @ http://www.elitetrader.com/vb/showthread.php?s=&threadid=134253

    There's dozens more in the journal section. My point is this, folks do post real-time trades or before the fact calls. Most don't have the time to educate the readers or do not want to educate their readers about their methods beyond just some basic market generalities. That's their choice and such should be respected by us.

    Thus, maybe there's a misunderstanding on my part about what you meant when you say you want to "watch the same traders making consistently good calls in REALTIME".

    It's starting to seem like you know there are traders posting real-time trades. In contrast, you're talking about others (those you're not naming) that don't post real-time calls like others that do post real-time calls and they don't do such via whatever trading instrument you want to see them post about...am I right about what you're trying to say. :confused:

  10. Well, I know that there are journals with real time calls.

    However, a forum isn't the best medium for those calls. They're often open to scrutiny.

    A chat room would be much better.

    And yes, in that chatroom, i'd really want to see those posters who are generally looked upon as the gurus (whether they like that term or not!)

    And yes, they've been unamed by me thus far, but to anyone who's spent more than a few months here, it shuld be obvious.

    Also, it's not supposed to be a dig at them gurus at all!
    I'm not saying that I think that they'd fall flat on their face if they had to post calls before the fact; Simply that I think it would be interesting to watch how various profitable traders tackle the markets in real time.

    Hope that's clearer
