Via IB, Hong Kong Futures Trading (contract: HSI and its e-mini MHI) is available and commissions are very reasonable (less than 2 USD for MHI). Can somebody recommend a chart commercial software which provides data-feed and realtime charting for HKFE ? esignal and rt3 don't access Far East Markets, as per my knoweledge. Thanks
companies that i know of are prosticks and I think www.ird.com for others, check out the HKEX web site under data vendors www.hkex.com.hk
Try www.futuresource.com or www.spcomstock.com And/or the usual suspects: Bloomberg and Reuters Def, do find that HSI moves smoother (i.e., cleaner and less spikey) then the US e-minis?
The HK markets can be pretty choppy. Historically the HK market has been more volatile but as I am not trading the US full time these days, I'm probably best to leave it at that.
Thanks, def. Volatility and choppy is good, as long as it is an intraday 'swing' type of choppy. That makes for good trading! What makes for hard trading (for me, at least) is when the 1 minute ranges get large compared to the normal intraday swings. I'll start watching HSI in real-time to get a feel for it's personality.
