On QCharts how do you direct access specified historical charts, say INDU? I can drag backwards from current day/period. But that is a pain. I can't find any directory on QCharts for historical charts. I would be grateful for some guidance on this aspect.
I don't think there is one. Some suggestions that you might not have tried: Use the CTRL and left arrow keys to scroll big chunks. Decrease spacing. Change to the next 1-2 longer time frames. All three.
A remote tangent to the thread title........... Does QCharts offer continuous futures yet? When I left them about nine months ago they did not, and that was one of the big reasons for my switch.
I'm a subscriber to Qcharts and was unaware (until someone answered that question for me on ET) that by checking the "All Sessions" box you can chart futures like ES a/h. I'm assuming that's what you're looking for. Incidentally, what are you currently using for continuous futures charts?
I mean historical futures data, such as T-notes back to 1980. I emailed their customer service and they said they weren't planning on adding it in the near future, but that was about nine months ago. I currently use Tradestation for charting and data.
Futures have contract months. But the continuous futures charts in charting programs like E-Sig will combine the months for you and attempt to switch months at the volume shift with a unique symbol Generally "tier 3" providers with their own ticker plant can offer this. The symbol in E-Sig for the ES is ES #F...the MiniDow is YM #F. Michael B.
