Anyone know any good sources for historical gold and silver values in list form for the last several years? Most of the major sources I've found are primarily in chart form. Others only allow you to query the close on a single particular day.

  3. Agreed, but always be careful about continuous contract data. It sometimes implies prices that were never available in any actual market. if you design a system that executes trades at those prices, you may be disappointed.

I read on ET that using the correct method (offset adjustment), a continuous contract can provide realistic simulated results. Only downside is prices in the deep past can go negative.
